As far back as I can remember, I’ve always believed in God, but it was later as an adult that I realized what it meant to have a relationship with God, our Father. At different periods in my life, people had shared the good news of Jesus Christ with me, but I remember really feeling the Holy Spirit working in my life when two of my coworkers began to disciple me and daily share with me the good news. At this same time, I also began to attend a small church led by a dynamic, young pastor. It was not long afterward that I believed, gave my life to Jesus, and was baptized with the Holy Spirit.

Over the past few years, I have spent quality time reading the Bible, attending Bible study and prayer meetings, and diving deeper into God’s word by listening to respected theologians and studying seminary textbooks. Through this time, God has been strengthening me in His Word. Now, with God at the helm and the gospel serving as my compass, my life has been filled with peace and joy unlike any I have never known before.

After my wife and I relocated to the Olympic Penninsula, God led us to become members of San Juan Baptist Church where we have found a church that is caring, Bible-preaching, and easy to connect with.

I have always enjoyed working with youth throughout my life and am a strong believer in youth ministry. The opportunity to work with the youth at San Juan Baptist Church has been a blessing. Now, serving San Juan Baptist as an Elder has been both a humbling and rewarding experience. Serving the church in this way has provided opportunities to participate in the growth of God’s kingdom and strengthen and unify the church.

My wife, Janet, and I have a loving, blended family with five adult children each living in different states outside of Washington, but we do enjoy having each of our mothers live here in Port Townsend.

My vision for San Juan Baptist is to connect with the community through the discipleship of the youth by offering a variety of programs and events for the youth and families in Port Townsend.
