ABOUT THE BIBLE

The Bible was written by men divinely inspired, and is a perfect treasure of heavenly instruction, that it has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth without any mixture of error for its matter, that it reveals the principles by which God will judge us, and therefore is, and shall remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions should be tried.

ABOUT GOD

There is only one living and true God, an infinite, intelligent Spirit, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth inexpressibly glorious in holiness and worthy of all possible honor, confidence and love. In Him there are three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit who are equal in divine perfection and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption.

ABOUT HUMAN BEINGS

Man was created in holiness, under the law of his Maker, but by voluntary transgression fell from that holy and happy state, in consequence of which all mankind are now sinners, not by constraint but choice, being by nature utterly void of that holiness required by the law of God, positively inclined to evil and, therefore, under just condemnation to eternal ruin, without defense or excuse.

ABOUT JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again someday to earth to gather all believers to live with Him eternally.

ABOUT SALVATION

Salvation is wholly of grace through the work of Jesus Christ. We believe that the blessings of salvation are made free to all by the gospel, that it is the immediate duty of all to accept them by cordial, penitent, and obedient faith, and that nothing prevents the salvation of the greatest sinner on earth but his own inherent depravity and voluntary rejection of the gospel which rejection involves him in an aggravated condemnation. 

ABOUT REPENTANCE AND FAITH

Repentance and faith are sacred duties instilled in us as we surrender to Christ.  Repentance comes from a deep conviction  of our sin and causes us to turn to God with genuine contrition and confession.  We rely on Jesus as our all sufficient Savior to offer us mercy for our sin and strenth to walk in faith.

ABOUT GOD'S GRACE

Election is the eternal purpose of God, according to which He graciously regenerates, sanctifies, and saves sinners. Yet, it is consistent with the free agency of man to choose according to his nature. All of this is a glorious display of God’s sovereign goodness, being infinitely free, wise, holy, and unchangeable. This grace excludes any human boasting and promotes humility, love, prayer, praise, trust in God, and imitation of His free mercy so that all who are saved might display in themselves the grace of God.

ABOUT SANCTIFICATION

Sacntification is the process by which, according to the will of God, we are made holy.  This is a progressive work that is started at the moment of salvation and carries on throughout our lives by the presence and power of the Holy spirit through the word of God, self-examination, self-denial, watchfulness and prayer.

ABOUT ETERNAL SECURITY

True Christians will endure in their faith to the end showing their true attachment to Jesus. This differs from those who have made false professions of faith since, for the true Christian, God watches over their welfare and they are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation.

ABOUT THE CHURCH

The church is a congregation of baptized believers associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel.  The church observes the ordinances of Christ (baptism and the Lord's Supper), is governed by His laws and exercise the gifts, rights and privileges invested in them by the Word of God.

ABOUT THE WORLD TO COME

The end of the world is approaching. On the last day, Christ will descend from heaven and raise the dead from the grave to final retribution. The wicked will be sentenced to endless punishment and the righteous will enter into endless joy. This judgment will fix forever people’s final state in heaven or hell.
